Finished!

The backyard is finished! With a final total just under $2500.00, I have to give credit to my wife, yes dear we can do it cheaper. With all the problems that arose I feel that the final result is worth all that has happened. When I now look at it I feel that a professional did the work and not some knuckle-head like me. There are interesting shapes and colors throughout the yard created by some nice design elements.

There are still a few "touch-ups" to do, like replanting some dead grass areas, but I don't feel the dread associated with the work when we first started. My father was a great help and I know it could not have been completed without his help.

The best part of the yard is the extended patio area that is bordered by a low wall that holds within a nice grouping of low growing plants that are very hardy and will withstand a trample or two. The extra space gives it a nice homey feel.

With all that we accomplished with the yard and the rewarding satisfaction knowing that we did the work, I would not hesitate to hiring someone the next time.
